Job summary

Job description

Job Summary

Under broad supervision ensure product quality by providing maintenance support through the design, installation, and maintenance of Plant Electronic systems. Additionally, supplying support for the installation, maintenance and repair of all machinery, equipment, and physical structures throughout the plant.

Job Responsibilities
  • Provide all required electronic system maintenance work, including work orders, preventive and predictive maintenance throughout the plant.
  • Ensure efficient and effective utilization of equipment and tool resources to minimize waste, downtime and unit cost.
  • Communicate with all team members and other plant personnel as required for the efficient execution of the electronic maintenance program.
  • Provide coverage for plant operations during all plant production periods, sharing in regular and overtime requirements as well as coverage during periods of other team member vacations and absences. Support plant equipment maintenance during available non-production times.
  • Ability to lay out, assemble, install, and maintain hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, and repairs and replace gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and other related equipment, as needed.
  • Utilize maintenance software to accurately create, track, and close all work orders, parts orders, and inventory control.
  • Ability to solve practical problems dealing with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, schematic, or schedule form.
  • Support all ISO 14001 Standards and Quality Objectives. Comply with cGMP, HACCP Food Safety Requirements and Chain of Custody Program Requirements.
  • Continuously sustain and improve maintenance areas to meet and exceed 5S+S standards.
  • Comply with all OHSE procedures and policies, including required PPE, standard operating procedures, quality policies and regulations, at all times.
  • Develop and maintain PLC and computer programming for the plant.
  • Train other members of the Maintenance Team on plant electronic systems, functions, and operations.
Requirements

AS degree in Industrial Maintenance and Electronic Controls or equivalent education with 3–5 years of experience or a minimum of a high school diploma or GED with 5–7 years of related work experience in Industrial Maintenance and Electronic Controls.

Minimum of eight years’ experience in a manufacturing facility. Experience in a gravure printing facility is a plus. Must be proficient in all phases of mechanical troubleshooting, hydraulics, and pneumatic equipment including repairs and replacement of gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and related equipment.

Broad knowledge of cleaning and lubricating shafts, bearings, and gears. Must be proficient in the operation of automated equipment.

Physical Demands

The ability to lift up to 75 lbs is required.

Must be able to manipulate hands to hold, touch, and feel product and equipment in a safe manner. Manual dexterity is required.

Use of close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Must be available to work more than 8 hours per day and/or 40 hours per week when necessary to meet customer product needs. Must be able to rotate shifts and work weekends as required.
