Randstad USA is hiring an Advanced Maintenance Technician in Overland Park, KS, to service high-precision CNC equipment and automated lines. You’ll diagnose mechanical and electrical issues (up to 480V), rebuild critical components, and perform precision alignments to keep machines running at peak performance.

The role requires strong experience with CNCs, FANUC controls, PLCs, hydraulics, and pneumatics, with strict adherence to LOTO/OSHA.

Qualifications

• 5–7+ years industrial maintenance experience; strong CNC & FANUC control troubleshooting; electrical mastery up to 480V, PLCs, & schematics; strict LOTO/OSHA compliance.

Responsibilities

• Advanced Diagnostics: Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical (up to 480V), hydraulic, and pneumatic systems on CNC and automated lines.
• FANUC & Electronics: Diagnose FANUC alarms, servo systems, spindle drives, VFDs, and PLCs.
• Precision Mechanical Rebuilds: Rebuild CNC ball screws, linear guides, spindles, and drawbars.
• Alignments & PMs: Use precision tools for machine geometry and log PMs in CMMS.

Advanced Maintenance Technician (CNC & Automated Systems)

Pay: $35.00 – $40.00 / hour | Schedule: Mon–Fri, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM (No regular weekends!)

Location: Overland Park, KS / Kansas City Area | Department: Operations

What You’ll Do

• Advanced Diagnostics: Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical (up to 480V), hydraulic, and pneumatic systems on CNC and automated lines.

What We’re Looking For

• Must-Haves: 5–7+ years industrial maintenance experience; strong CNC & FANUC control troubleshooting; electrical mastery up to 480V, PLCs, & schematics; strict LOTO/OSHA compliance.
• Nice-to-Haves: Direct spindle/ball screw rebuild experience; automatic screw machine knowledge; MIG/TIG/Stick welding skills.
• Physical: Lift up to 50 lbs; stand, walk, and climb in an active plant environment.

Responsibilities

• Advanced Diagnostics & Repair: Perform mechanical, electrical (up to 480V), hydraulic, and pneumatic troubleshooting on screw machines, CNC centers, and automated packaging lines.
• FANUC Controls & Electronics: Troubleshoot FANUC alarms, servo systems, spindle drives, I/O systems, VFDs, and PLC-based systems.
• Precision Mechanical Rebuilds: Diagnose and rebuild CNC ball screws, linear guide systems, spindle assemblies, drawbars, and bearing packs.
• Machine Alignment & Geometry: Use precision instruments (dial indicators, test bars, laser alignment) to conduct machine leveling, axis alignment, and requalification.
• Preventive Maintenance & CMMS: Execute planned preventive/predictive maintenance schedules and log work through our CMMS software.
• Fabrication: Perform light welding (GMAW, GTAW, SMAW) and custom fabrication for equipment repairs when needed.

The essential functions of this role include:

• working in a smoke free environment
• wearing steel toe shoes
• manual lifting up to 50lbs
• standing for 6 hours at one time
