Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Perform basic facility and building maintenance.
• Repair faucets, drains, toilets, and urinals.
• Prepare surfaces: drywall patch/tape/finish for painting.
• Strip and wax floors; change HVAC filters as needed.
• Diagnose and repair basic electrical issues and lighting.
• Maintain maintenance records and complete work orders.
• Support grounds maintenance including mowing and trimming.

BlueWorx is seeking a dependable Maintenance Technicianfor a manufacturing facility in Oklahoma City. This is an entry-level maintenance position responsible for supporting general facility maintenance, basic electrical and plumbing repairs, groundskeeping, equipment upkeep, and preventative maintenance.

This is a great opportunity for someone who is mechanically inclined, comfortable using hand and power tools, and interested in developing their skills in an industrial maintenance environment.

Position Overview

The Maintenance Technicianwill help maintain the facility, grounds, tools, and equipment. The position involves a combination of building maintenance, basic electrical work, plumbing, HVAC support, groundskeeping, and general repair work.

Candidates should be comfortable working both indoors and outdoors and handling a variety of maintenance assignments throughout the day.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform basic facility and building maintenance
• Repair or replace faucets, drains, commercial toilets, and urinals
• Patch, tape, and finish drywall in preparation for painting
• Strip and wax floors as needed
• Change HVAC filters, belts, and motors and check equipment oil levels
• Assist with pressure-bearing air and liquid systems
• Diagnose and repair basic electrical issues
• Replace switches, outlets, light bulbs, and other basic electrical components
• Follow proper Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures
• Complete preventative maintenance and assigned work orders
• Maintain accurate maintenance documentation
• Perform routine maintenance on tools and equipment
• Move furniture and equipment as needed
• Operate company vehicles and facility equipment as assigned
• Assist with waste, scrap metal, pallets, crates, and recycling materials
• Maintain sidewalks and parking areas, including snow and ice removal
• Maintain clean and organized work areas
• Follow all company safety procedures

Grounds & Facility Maintenance

This position also has significant responsibility for maintaining company grounds, including:

• Mowing, weed eating, and edging lawns
• Operating riding lawn mowers and other groundskeeping equipment
• Trimming trees, bushes, and hedges
• Pruning plants and maintaining flower beds
• Removing weeds, litter, and outdoor trash
• Applying lawn treatments such as fertilizer and weed-control products
• Operating leaf blowers, hedge trimmers, edgers, and similar equipment
• Working outdoors in varying weather conditions

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Basic mechanical and maintenance aptitude
• Ability to use common hand and power tools, including drills, saws, wrenches, screwdrivers, and hammers
• Ability to perform basic electrical troubleshooting
• Comfortable performing basic plumbing and building repairs
• Ability to operate a riding lawn mower and groundskeeping equipment
• Ability to safely use ladders
• Ability to drive a company vehicle
• Basic computer, email, smartphone, and text messaging skills
• Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions
• Ability to work independently and as part of a maintenance team
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to facility upkeep
• Forklift and scissor lift experience preferred

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for several hours throughout the workday
• Frequent bending, stooping, reaching, pushing, and pulling
• Ability to safely lift and move materials and equipment
• Ability to walk between buildings and work outdoors in various weather conditions
• Comfortable working from ladders and around industrial equipment
