Job summary

TreeHouse Foods is hiring a Maintenance Technician for our Northlake, TX facility. This full-time role performs preventive maintenance and repairs on complex production equipment (mechanical and electrical) in a climate-controlled environment to improve efficiency and yield.

You will operate and oversee packaging machines, inspect and overhaul drives, and use precision tools to ensure proper clearances. Shift: 6:00am–6:30pm, 2-2-3 rotating days.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience following instructions/process documents and providing effective communication, both verbal and written.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment – food manufacturing a plus.
• The ability to work overtime and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Operates and/or oversees the operation of packaging machines and processing systems in a climate-controlled environment.
• Inspects, replaces, repairs and performs overhauls on mechanical drives/motors, pneumatic & hydraulic components, motor control center devices, transport conveyor systems and rotating, cutting, & grinding equipment.
• Uses micrometers, calipers, dial indicators and other precision instruments to determine working clearances on mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic components.
• Performs typical maintenance repairs through assigned work orders.
• Performs basic machine shop duties such as drilling, grinding, light metal fabrication, welding and machining.

Job Description:

About the Role:

The Maintenance Technician performs preventive maintenance and repairs on complex production equipment and systems (e.g., mechanical, electrical). Evaluates and recommends equipment improvements to improve efficiency, capability and yield.

This is skilled mechanical work in the maintenance and repair of light to medium duty packaging, processing and building equipment such as conveyors, elevators, blowers, sifters, burners, grinders, conventional & high-speed packaging machines, labeling/printing equipment, vacuum & hydraulic pumps, and air compressors.

• Operates and/or oversees the operation of packaging machines and processing systems in a climate-controlled environment.
• Inspects, replaces, repairs and performs overhauls on mechanical drives/motors, pneumatic & hydraulic components, motor control center devices, transport conveyor systems and rotating, cutting, & grinding equipment.
• Uses micrometers, calipers, dial indicators and other precision instruments to determine working clearances on mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic components.
• Performs typical maintenance repairs through assigned work orders.
• Performs basic machine shop duties such as drilling, grinding, light metal fabrication, welding and machining.

Important Details:

This is a full-time permanent role on day shift, which operates from 6:00am to 6:30pm 2-2-3 rotating shifts.
