HOUSING AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF LONG BRANCH is seeking a Maintenance Technician to maintain and improve residential facilities, offices, and grounds. The role involves routine maintenance, minor repairs, cleaning, and preparing units for re-leasing, with independence or teamwork as required.
Candidates should have a high school diploma and at least two years of maintenance experience, plus strong communication, time management, and problem-solving abilities in a housing setting.
The Maintenance Technician works independently or as a member of a group, to improve and maintain the physical condition of the Long Branch Housing Authority’s facilities, including its residential buildings, dwelling units, offices, community centers, maintenance shops, utilities and grounds by performing routine maintenance work, including but not limited to, minor repairs, cleaning and other related duties as required.

High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to outside weather conditions. The employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
