Job summary

Niagara Bottling, LLC is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support production equipment and facility uptime. You will troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventive maintenance across mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.

Responsibilities include reading schematics, maintaining control systems, documenting work orders, and training others within your area. This role requires strong communication and adherence to safety rules, with potential to cover operator duties as needed.

Qualifications

• 4 years of experience in a field or similar maintenance environment.
• 4 years of experience in a maintenance technician position.
• 4 years of experience managing people or projects (work experience plus education may be combined).
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and resolve issues across multiple departments.
• Basic experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics.
• Proficient with precision measuring equipment such as calipers, dial indicators, bore gauges, and depth gauges.

• Skill in the use of shop equipment such as hydraulic and mechanical presses, bench grinder, drill press, mill, lathe, and assorted power tools.
• Proficient with precision measuring equipment such as calipers, dial indicators, bore gauges, and depth gauges.
• Willingness to be a technical leader and trainer within a specific area of the plant.
• Will bring own toolbox and basic tools.

Preferred Qualifications

• 6 years of experience in a field or similar manufacturing environment.
• 6 years of experience in a maintenance technician position.
• 6 years of experience managing people or projects.
• Experience in high‑speed manufacturing, bottling, beverage, packaging, or plastics industries.
• Experience with variable frequency drive (VFD), servo drives, and servo motor technology.
• Experience with rotary equipment such as rotary press or filler.
• Knowledge of thermodynamics, heat transfer, or plastics processing.
• Experience with Krones, Sidel, or Husky equipment.
• Experience with HVAC, chillers, and/or air compressors.
• Experience working with electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics.
• Fabrication skills such as cutting, welding (MIG, TIG, or stick).
• Experience with 480VAC & 24VDC power systems.
• Ability to read and interpret process and instrumentation diagrams.
• Skill in repairing VFDs, servo motors, controllers, communication systems (ASi‑Bus, CAN‑Bus, Profi‑Bus, Ethernet), PLC I/O cards, and safety modules.

Education & Certifications

Compensation & Benefits

Hourly rate: $30.35 – $44.01.
