Summary Of Position

To ensure residents a safe, comfortable, and attractive place to live by always keeping all electrical and mechanical equipment and appliances functional or serviced immediately and making all needed repairs to structures promptly. This position is considered an essential function to the operation of the community; therefore, consistent attendance is required, as it directly impacts the ability to perform duties effectively and ensures proper workflow and communication within the team.

Primary Duties And Responsibilities

• Abides by Fair Housing Laws.
• Responds to residents’ service calls, including plumbing repairs, tile laying and repairing, drywall installation and repair, electrical switch repairs, appliance repairs and replacements, painting, lock repairs, carpet shampooing and replacement, drain unblocking, window and door repairs, carpentry work such as sanding and staining cabinets and countertops, and assisting in other areas around the property.

Position Requirements / Qualifications

• Ability to read and write English.
• General mechanical aptitude and prior related experience.
• Valid driver’s license (if operating a vehicle).
• EPA Certification for Freon recovery; HVAC Certification.
• Current Fair Housing Certification.

Preferred Skills/Abilities

• Advanced training from a mechanical, trade, or technical school.
• Experience as a Service Manager for a multi-unit property.

• Walking, bending, stooping, reaching, kneeling, crawling, stretching, climbing stairs or ladders, standing for extended periods.
• Exposure to weather, noise, dust, heat, mechanical equipment, and chemicals.
