Job summary

MCC, based in Niles, IL, is seeking a Maintenance Tech/Electrician to ensure calibration and current status of electrical schematics and instrumentation. The role includes troubleshooting during downtime, performing preventive maintenance, and supporting Lean and 5S in a multi-shift factory setting.

The position offers a 3rd shift from 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM, with a comprehensive benefits package and hourly pay of $31–$34 based on experience.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic applications.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and interpret drawings.
• Basic computer literacy and familiarity with operating systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production.
• Perform scheduled maintenance repairs in a multi-shift environment.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems.

MCC is looking for a Maintenance Tech/Electrician. The main duties of the Technician are to ensure that all electrical schematics and instrumentation are calibrated and current, troubleshooting during unscheduled equipment downtime,repairsand complete preventive maintenance service.

Schedule:

• 3rd Shift: 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM
• Monday – Friday

Responsibilities:

• Provides emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production.
• Performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service in a multi-shift environment
• Performs duties including, but not limited to mechanical, electrical, pneumaticand hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of machines
• Supports an optimized production environment by applying the principles of Lean Manufacturing and 5S
• Responsible for maintainingand performing repairs to the facility
• Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• One or more years ofdemonstratedexperience in the electrical, mechanical,hydraulicand pneumatic applications
• The ability to read electrical schematics and vocational maintenance training certificate preferred
• Requires basic knowledge of computers and operating systems
• Must have ability to multi-task and to identifyand execute process improvements as needed
• Requires strong problem-solvingskills to assess product outputrelativeto specifications
• Requires physical ability to climb stairs, bend, sit, stand, walk, reach with arms, push, pull and use hands and fingers to feel and handle material for extended time frames
• Must have abilityto lift and/or move up to 50 pounds repeatedly and regularly.
• Includes the ability to stoop, squat, crawl and kneel as needed
• This position requires frequent walking.
