Job summary

MCC, a global leader in premium labels, seeks a Maintenance Tech/Electrician in Knoxville, TN. You will perform emergency and scheduled repairs on production equipment, and conduct multi-system troubleshooting across mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic domains.

The role supports Lean and 5S initiatives while keeping facilities in peak condition. Ideal candidates have 1+ year of relevant experience, ability to read schematics, and basic computer skills.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience in electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic applications.
• Ability to read electrical schematics; vocational maintenance training preferred.
• Basic computer knowledge and operating systems familiarity.
• Strong multi-tasking and problem-solving skills to improve processes.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and sustain physical activity.

Responsibilities

• Provides emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production.
• Performs scheduled maintenance repairs during machine service in a multi-shift environment.
• Troubleshoots and repairs mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
• Supports Lean Manufacturing and 5S practices.
• Maintains and repairs the facility.
• Participates in special projects and other duties as assigned.

MCC is looking for a Maintenance Tech/Electrician. The main duties of the Technician are to ensure that all electrical schematics and instrumentation are calibrated and current, troubleshooting during unscheduled equipment downtime, repairs and complete preventive maintenance service.

Responsibilities:

• Provides emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production.
• Performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service in a multi-shift environment
• Performs duties including, but not limited to mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of machines
• Supports an optimized production environment by applying the principles of Lean Manufacturing and 5S
• Responsible for maintaining and performing repairs to the facility
• Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• One or more years of demonstrated experience in the electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic applications
• The ability to read electrical schematics and vocational maintenance training certificate preferred
• Requires basic knowledge of computers and operating systems
• Must have ability to multi-task and to identify and execute process improvements as needed
• Requires strong problem solving skills to assess product output relative to specifications
• Requires physical ability to climb stairs, bend, sit, stand, walk, reach with arms, push, pull and use hands and fingers to feel and handle material for extended time frames
• Must have ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds repeatedly and regularly.
• Includes the ability to stoop, squat, crawl and kneel as needed
• This position requires frequent walking.

The physical demands require standing, using hands to finger, feel and touch; reach with arms and hands; talk and hear. This position requires frequent walking. Occasionally employee is required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Must be able to regularly lift or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision requirements are close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
