Job summary

MCC in Louisville, KY is seeking a Maintenance Technician to ensure reliable production equipment, safety, quality, and sustainability standards are met. You will perform emergency and scheduled maintenance in a multi-shift environment and collaborate with other departments to support MCC's core strategies.

The ideal candidate has experience with electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, reads schematics, and holds a vocational maintenance certificate.

Qualifications

• Experience in electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic applications.
• Reading electrical schematics preferred.
• Vocational maintenance training certificate preferred.
• Basic computer skills and operating systems.
• Ability to multitask and identify process improvements.
• Strong problem-solving skills to meet specifications.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly and move.

Responsibilities

• Provides emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production.
• Performs duties including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of machines.
• Supports an optimized production environment by applying Lean Manufacturing and 5S.
• Responsible for maintaining and performing repairs to the facility.
• Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.

The Maintenance Technician interacts with other departments to achieve the company'score strategies and moves productsto accommodate production.

Responsibilities:

• Provides emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production. Performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service in a multi-shift environment
• Performs duties including, but not limited to mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of machines
• Supports an optimized production environment by applying the principles of Lean Manufacturing and 5S
• Responsible for maintaining and performing repairs to the facility

Qualifications

• One or more years of demonstrated experience in the electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic applications
• The ability to read electrical schematics and a vocational maintenance training certificate are preferred
• Requires basic knowledge of computers and operating systemsMust have the ability to multitask and to identify and execute process improvements as needed
• Requires strong problem-solving skills to assess product output relative to specifications
• Requires physical ability to climb stairs, bend, sit, stand, walk, reach with arms, push, pull, and use hands and fingers to feel and handle material for extended time frames
• Must have the ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds repeatedly and regularly
• Includes the ability to stoop, squat, crawl, and kneel as needed
• This position requires frequent walking.
