Job summary

Atlantic View Post Acute is seeking a Maintenance Technician to keep our facility safe, reliable, and comfortable for residents and staff. This full-time role includes painting, plumbing, carpentry, electrical and HVAC tasks, with a focus on safety and regulatory compliance.

The ideal candidate has at least three years of maintenance experience, basic computer skills, and the ability to work flexible shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays if needed.

Qualifications

• Three years of general maintenance experience in related trades.
• HVAC, plumbing, and electrical experience strongly preferred.
• Basic computer proficiency with Word, Excel, and internet-based systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance and repairs across painting, plumbing, carpentry, electrical, HVAC and related systems.
• Inspect and repair building equipment to ensure safe operation.
• Support preventative maintenance to reduce downtime and extend system longevity.
• Maintain knowledge of building systems and applicable codes.
• Document work orders and updates using computer systems.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests with priority on resident safety.
• Ensure work complies with safety procedures and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities for Maintenance Technician:

• Perform general maintenance and repair work, including painting, plumbing, carpentry, electrical, HVAC, and other facility systems.

• Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair building equipment and systems to ensure safe and efficient operation.

• Support preventative maintenance programs to reduce equipment downtime and extend system longevity.

• Maintain knowledge of building systems, equipment, and applicable building codes and regulations.

• Utilize basic computer systems (Word, Excel, Internet Explorer, or similar platforms) to document work orders, track maintenance activities, and communicate updates.

• Respond to maintenance requests promptly while prioritizing resident safety and comfort.

• Ensure all work is completed in accordance with safety procedures, facility policies, and regulatory standards.

Qualifications for Maintenance Technician:

• Three (3) years of general maintenance experience required, including painting, plumbing, carpentry, electrical, HVAC, or related trades.

• HVAC, plumbing, and electrical experience strongly preferred.

• Basic computer proficiency required, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and internet-based systems.

• Strong knowledge of building equipment, building systems, and applicable building codes.

• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including day, evening, weekend, and holiday shifts as needed.
