Job summary

Fishers Island Club is seeking a skilled Facilities Maintenance Technician to support the upkeep of our private golf, tennis, and beach club facilities on Fishers Island. You will maintain the clubhouse, dining areas, pro shops, and employee housing, ensuring safety and functionality.

The role requires hands-on experience across HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, and electrical work, with strong problem-solving and teamwork. Availability on weekends and holidays is expected.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience across HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing, carpentry, and basic electrical work.
• Strong problem-solving, attention to detail, and quality workmanship.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and be a team player.
• Professional, service-oriented demeanor with members and staff.
• Experience in private clubs, hotels, or resorts preferred.
• Trade training or certifications welcomed but not required.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshooting maintenance issues to keep facilities functional and safe.

Facilities Maintenance Technician (Full – Time)

Fishers Island Club

Fishers Island Club is seeking a skilled, dependable, and service-oriented Facilities Maintenance Technician to support the upkeep and operation of our private golf, tennis, and beach club facilities. This position is responsible for maintaining a variety of Club properties, including the clubhouse, dining and service areas, pro shops, beach facilities, support buildings, and employee housing.

Responsibilities

• troubleshooting maintenance issues
• performing repairs
• completing preventive maintenance tasks
• responding promptly to maintenance requests to ensure Club facilities remain safe, functional, and well-maintained

Requirements

• dual hands-on experience in HVAC systems, refrigeration, plumbing, carpentry, appliance repair, basic electrical work, and general building maintenance
• strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and a commitment to quality workmanship
• ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and contribute positively as part of a team
• professional and service-oriented approach when interacting with members, guests, staff, residents, and vendors
• previous experience in a private club, hotel, resort, marina, restaurant, residential property, estate, or commercial facility is preferred
• technical certifications, trade training, or specialized maintenance experience are welcomed but not required
• flexible availability, including weekends, holidays, and seasonal operational demands
