Job summary

Ferraro Foods is seeking a hands-on Sanitation & Maintenance Technician to keep our warehouse clean, safe, and well-functioning. You will perform routine cleaning, operate sanitation equipment, and assist with basic facility maintenance to support daily operations.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or equivalent, familiarity with cleaning chemicals, and basic maintenance skills. This role offers a Monday–Friday schedule with competitive hourly pay and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of cleaning and sanitation procedures and chemicals.
• Basic maintenance skills (plumbing/electrical/carpentry).
• Comfort with hand and floor cleaning equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning and sanitation of floors, racks, offices, break rooms, and restrooms.
• Follow sanitation schedules and maintain logs.
• Operate floor scrubbers and sanitation equipment.
• Handle basic building maintenance and minor repairs.
• Replace light bulbs and air filters; perform basic inspections.
• Support preventative maintenance schedules for building systems and equipment.
• Identify safety concerns and address minor repairs or escalate larger issues.
• Coordinate work by outside vendors and contractors.
• Maintain maintenance records and vendor documentation.
• Support after-hours emergency maintenance needs as required.

At Ferraro Foods, our Sanitation & Maintenance Technician plays an important role in maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary warehouse while helping keep our facility and equipment in proper working order.

We're looking for someone who's hands-on, dependable, safety-conscious, and comfortable handling both sanitation and basic facility maintenance.

What You’ll Be Working On

• Perform routine cleaning and sanitation of warehouse floors, racks, equipment, offices, break rooms, and restrooms
• Follow daily, weekly, and monthly sanitation schedules and maintain required sanitation logs
• Operate floor scrubbers and other sanitation equipment
• Handle basic building maintenance and minor repairs throughout the warehouse and offices
• Perform routine facility tasks such as replacing light bulbs and air filters and completing basic inspections
• Help maintain preventative maintenance schedules for building systems, equipment, and general facility needs
• Identify maintenance or safety concerns and address minor repairs or escalating larger issues when needed
• Coordinate and monitor work performed by outside vendors and contractors
• Maintain maintenance records, service logs, and vendor documentation
• Support after-hours emergency maintenance needs as required

The Ingredients for Success

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Basic knowledge of cleaning and sanitation procedures, including the safe use of cleaning chemicals and disinfectants
• Basic building maintenance skills, including simple plumbing, electrical, and carpentry repairs
• Comfortable using hand tools, small power tools, floor machines, and other sanitation or maintenance equipment
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow cleaning and preventative maintenance schedules
• Ability to work safely, recognize potential hazards, and use appropriate personal protective equipment
• Dependability and ability to work independently
• Ability to manage changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Previous sanitation, cleaning, or basic warehouse/facility maintenance experience preferred

The Details

• Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM
• Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour
• Physical Requirements: This is an active, hands-on position that may involve climbing ladders, kneeling, stooping, working in confined spaces, working outdoors in varying weather conditions, and lifting items weighing up to 100 lbs.
