Job summary

AMETEK is seeking a maintenance technician to perform general maintenance and repairs, including light carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and equipment upkeep at our New River, AZ site. You will ensure safe operations and compliance with industry standards.

Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, inventory control, and coordinating with contractors. Demonstrated ability with MS Office and basic power tools is important; experience with high voltage equipment and AI tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for performing building and maintenance duties to ensure smooth operations of the business site.
  • Prepare the site for ongoing business operations of interior and exterior components of the facility.
  • Maintain business equipment to ensure resources remain in operable condition.
  • Build and position business equipment per management instructions.
  • Adhere to site and industry safety regulations and maintain clean work areas.
  • Procure parts/supplies and maintain inventory to minimize downtime.
  • Report work completed using standard checklists and maintenance database.
  • Coordinate with outside contractors and suppliers for interior/exterior components.
  • Monitor water delivery and well to site storage tank levels.
  • Maintain DI water facility; test water properties and report outliers.
  • Maintain underground water delivery system to production machines; repair PVC pipes.
  • Build pallets, crates, fixtures for testing.
  • Field patrols to monitor outdoor weathering equipment.

Job description

Atlas is looking for a technician to performs general maintenance repair duties that involve light carpentry, basic electrical, plumbing, and office and production electrical weathering instrument equipment needs. Ensures site operates within defined standards and procedures that support safe working environment and meets industry standards.

Key Responsilbities
  • Responsible for performing building and maintenance duties to ensure smooth operations of the business site.
  • Perform duties related to preparing the site for ongoing business operations of the interior and exterior components of the facility that involve routine activities as well as special projects to support client needs.
  • Accountable for maintaining business equipment to ensure resources remain in operable condition.
  • Builds, constructs, and positions business equipment according to direction of management and client needs.
  • Adheres to site and industry safety regulations and ensures the site maintains clean and orderly work areas.
  • Procure part/supplies and maintain inventory levels to minimize down time of customer testing and smooth operations of the business according to direction of management.
  • Ensures proper reporting of work completed by utilizing standard checklists and maintenance database.
  • Works and maintains relationships with outside contractors and suppliers related to business operations of interior and exterior components of the facility.
  • Monitor and maintain water delivery and levels from well to site storage tank.
  • Maintains DI water facility; test water properties, keeps water reports up to date, and report outliers to Operations Manager
  • Maintains underground water delivery system to production machines; digging to repair PVC pipes.
  • Builds and constructs pallets, crates, fixtures for testing.
  • Field patrols to monitor proper operation and records of outdoor weathering equipment.
  • Maintain machine repairs in an Excel spreadsheet.
  • Golf cart maintenance and repair.
Requirements for Consideration
  • High school diploma, GED or equivalent reading and writing skills.
  • Vocational training in electrical and plumbing trades
  • One to two years previous experience working within a position of general maintenance requiring reading and interpreting equipment manuals and work orders related to maintenance responsibilities as well as following and adhering to written verbal instructions.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and occasionally lifting/moving up to 75 pounds.
  • Basic knowledge and previous work experience operating power tools as well as light and heavy-duty equipment and general knowledge testing electrical equipment.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with MS Office as well as ability to navigate through software systems and applications.
  • Past work-related experiences must include handling high voltage equipment and electrical devices.
  • Demonstrated ability and willingness to use AI tools to improve productivity, decision-marking, work quality, and to reduce costs. The successful candidate must be able to identify appropriate AI use cases and critically evaluate AI-generated outputs.
Compensation

Employee Type: Hourly

Salary Minimum: 40,000
