Maintenance Technician

Job Code: 2025-WCS-036 Actual Job Location: The Agora- 800 New Jersey Ave SE FT/PT Status: Regular Full Time From Salary: 26.00 To Salary: 29.00 POSITION SUMMARY: WC Smith is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician with a minimum of two years' experience to join our team at our team at The Agora, at The Collective in the Capitol Riverfront/Navy Yard in Washington, DC. This individual will be responsible for turning over vacant apartments, the successful execution of maintenance tickets and addressing resident maintenance concerns.

Primary Responsibilities

• Assist in turning over vacant apartments for marketability and move-in ready status
• Complete and submit service requests on time and upon completion.
• Assist in the completion of preventative maintenance schedules of equipment and operating systems.
• Work on-call to assist residents in emergency maintenance matters.
• Provide exemplary customer service to all residents, prospective residents, guests, and contractors.
  
  

Requirements

• At least two years of residential property maintenance experience
• A basic knowledge of maintenance and repair and the tools and equipment
• Knowledge of maintenance in the following areas: appliance repair, plumbing, electricity, locks, carpentry, painting, fire alarm panels, and pools.
• High school diploma or equivalent desired.
• Basic knowledge and use of Microsoft Office is required.
• EPA 608 Universal CFC certification required.
• Experience with water source heat pumps (WSHP) is a plus.
• Pool maintenance experience and Certified Pool Operator certification is a plus.
• Experience working with Yardi is preferred.
• Must be able to be on call and work weekends as needed.
• Experience working on a Class A property is preferred.
