Job summary

Embassy Suites Myrtle Beach is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to sustain the hotel's physical facilities, including guest rooms, public spaces, and back-of-house areas. You will perform repairs across carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, HVAC and masonry, while supporting preventive maintenance programs.

The role is full-time, second shift, with weekends and holidays required. Benefits include PTO, health plans, 401(k) with company match, life insurance, parental leave, and travel discount

Qualifications

• Experience performing repairs in guest rooms, public spaces and back-of-house areas.
• Knowledge of preventive maintenance programs and routine inspections.
• Ability to document repairs and flag areas needing attention.

Responsibilities

• Performs repairs and maintenance across carpentry, plumbing, electric, painting, HVAC and masonry.
• Inspects guestrooms, public space, back-of-house and heart-of-the-house areas for repairs or touch-ups.
• Replaces items such as light bulbs, outlets, fixtures, hardware, paint and furnishings as needed.
• Makes records of repairs and reports completed work; notes rooms that are out of order.
• Supports team in applying the facility's preventive maintenance program.

Job description

As a Maintenance Engineer, you will maintain the physical functionality of the facility including our guest rooms, public space and heart-of-the-house areas. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

Responsibilities

• Performs a variety of repairs and maintenance tasks including carpentry, plumbing, electric, painting, HVAC and masonry.
• Inspect guestrooms, public space, back-of-the-house, and heart-of-the-house for areas to repair, touch up or replace.
• Repairs, or replace items such as light bulbs, lamps, switches, outlets, faucets, toilets, hardware, filters, paint, furniture, wall coverings, caulking, grouting or other miscellaneous items.
• Assists other department team members in the systematic application of the preventive maintenance program.
• Makes records of repairs made, reports completed repairs, or places areas needing further attention or a room 'out of order.
