Job summary
Embassy Suites Myrtle Beach is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to sustain the hotel's physical facilities, including guest rooms, public spaces, and back-of-house areas. You will perform repairs across carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, HVAC and masonry, while supporting preventive maintenance programs.
The role is full-time, second shift, with weekends and holidays required. Benefits include PTO, health plans, 401(k) with company match, life insurance, parental leave, and travel discount
Qualifications
- Experience performing repairs in guest rooms, public spaces and back-of-house areas.
- Knowledge of preventive maintenance programs and routine inspections.
- Ability to document repairs and flag areas needing attention.
Responsibilities
- Performs repairs and maintenance across carpentry, plumbing, electric, painting, HVAC and masonry.
- Inspects guestrooms, public space, back-of-house and heart-of-the-house areas for repairs or touch-ups.
- Replaces items such as light bulbs, outlets, fixtures, hardware, paint and furnishings as needed.
- Makes records of repairs and reports completed work; notes rooms that are out of order.
- Supports team in applying the facility's preventive maintenance program.
