Job summary

Embassy Suites Myrtle Beach is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to uphold the facility’s functionality across guest rooms, public spaces and back-of-house areas. You will perform repairs in carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, HVAC and inspect areas to keep rooms ready for guests.

• Maintenance technician experience preferred.
• Willingness to perform carpentry, plumbing, electrical, HVAC tasks.

Responsibilities

• Performs repairs in carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, HVAC and masonry.
• Inspect guestrooms, public spaces and back-of-house areas for repairs or touch-ups.
• Maintain records of repairs and flag rooms 'out of order' as needed.
• Assist preventive maintenance program across departments.
• Work collaboratively with other departments to ensure facility readiness.

Description

As a Maintenance Engineer, you will maintain the physical functionality of the facility including our guest rooms, public space and heart-of-the-house areas. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

Responsibilities

• Performs a variety of repairs and maintenance tasks including carpentry, plumbing, electric, painting, HVAC and masonry.
• Inspect guestrooms, public space, back-of-the-house, and heart-of-the-house for areas to repair, touch up or replace.
• Repairs, or replace items such as light bulbs, lamps, switches, outlets, faucets, toilets, hardware, filters, paint, furniture, wall coverings, caulking, grouting or other miscellaneous items.
• Assists other department team members in the systematic application of the preventive maintenance program.
• Makes records of repairs made, reports completed repairs, or places areas needing further attention or a room 'out of order.
