Job summary

Dream Live Prosper Communities in Bethlehem, PA is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support resident services and upkeep across our affordable housing properties. You will diagnose and repair plumbing, electrical, HVAC, painting and drywall, and prepare units for move-ins while ensuring safety and quality.

You must have own tools, a valid driver’s license, and the flexibility to work weekends. The role offers $20–$25/hour plus monthly bonus potential, full-time status, and a culture focused

Qualifications

  • Experience in plumbing repair and diagnosing issues efficiently.
  • Ability to complete apartment turnovers within a 5-day timeframe.
  • Proficiency in electrical repairs including wiring, outlets, and fixtures.

Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional service to residents and address maintenance requests promptly.
  • Identify and resolve hazardous property conditions to ensure safety.
  • Prepare vacant apartments for move-in within five days; perform HVAC, painting, electrical, plumbing, and appliance repairs as needed.
  • Maintain grounds and ensure cleanliness to improve property appearance.
  • Respond to emergency calls when on-call and manage on-call duties.
  • Implement cost-saving initiatives and assist with budget management.
  • Respond to resident requests within 24 hours with professionalism.
  • Maintain a well-stocked maintenance shop and control inventory.
  • Perform technician and groundskeeper duties as needed to support team goals.
  • Schedule vacancies for 5-day turns coordinating with team members.

Opportunity Overview:
  • Location: Dream Boyd Theatre, 30 W Broad Street, Bethlehem, PA 18018
  • Pay: $20 -$25 per hour plus monthly bonus potential
  • Employment Status: Full-time

What we are looking for in a Maintenance Technician:
  • Experience in plumbing repair, with the ability to diagnose and resolve issues efficiently.
  • Ability to complete apartment turnovers within a 5-day timeframe.
  • Proficiency in electric repairs, including wiring, outlets, and fixtures.
  • Strong plaster/drywall repair skills, ensuring seamless repairs and finishes.
  • Excellent painting skills, with attention to detail and quality.
  • Experience in lock replacement, ensuring security and functionality.
  • Familiarity with apartment unit turnovers in old and new buildings, understanding the unique challenges of each.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license, clean driving record, and reliable vehicle for daily work assignments and on-call rotation.
  • Must have own basic tools for the job.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities, able to address issues efficiently and effectively.
  • Practical communication skills for interactions with team members, vendors, and residents, ensuring clear and effective communication.
  • Relevant certifications and licenses in HVAC systems are preferred.
What you will do as a Maintenance Technician:
  • Provide exceptional service to residents, exceeding expectations and ensuring satisfaction.

  • Maintain a well-stocked maintenance shop without unnecessary spending, optimizing inventory management.
  • Perform technician and groundskeeper duties as needed, supporting the team in achieving maintenance goals.
  • Efficiently schedule vacancies for 5-day turns, coordinating with other team members to meet deadlines.
