Ryan Companies US Inc is looking to hire a part-time Maintenance Technician to provide building coverage for a Class A condo tower in Minneapolis. This role includes staffing support every Saturday and Sunday from 8 AM to 4:30 PM, maintaining a safe and clean environment for tenants.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent verbal communication skills, a high school diploma or GED, and the physical ability to perform general repairs. Competitive salary of $18.00 to $23.00 per hour, plus potential commission.

Ryan Companies is hiring for a part‑time Maintenance Technician. The role provides building coverage and staffing support to a ClassA condo tower every Saturday and Sunday from 8am to 4:30pm. The technician will maintain a safe, productive, comfortable, and clean environment for building occupants and guests, and will cover staff on vacation as needed.

Responsibilities

• Police the property, building grounds, public areas, parking lots and roof; remove debris daily.
• Perform seasonal outside duties such as pressure‑washing trash rooms and sidewalks.
• Maintain the pool, pool area and equipment.
• Maintain mechanical and utility rooms in an organized and clean condition.
• Support maintenance schedules and complete assigned work orders.
• Respond to tenant requests and coordinate vendors for various services.
• Monitor and report slip and trip hazards.
• Conduct security checks of locked doors and restricted access points.
• Replace lamps and other light fixtures as required.
• Perform general repairs within reasonable expectation.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal communication and concierge‑level customer service skills.
• High School Diploma or GED with the ability to perform general handyman repairs.
• Clear driving record.
• Basic computer literacy.
• Physical ability to lift 100lb, work from a ladder, overhead, and outdoors in a variety of weather conditions.
• Ability to recognize smoke, chemicals, and other hazards.

Preferred Qualifications

• Vocational or technical degree.
• Electrical, plumbing or HVAC experience.
• Hospitality and customer service experience.

Compensation

Base pay: $18.00 to $23.00 per hour, depending on location and candidate qualifications. Position may include commission and/or incentive compensation.
