If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you. We are a leading company in the Engineering industry, and we are seeking a Permanent Maintenance Technician to join our dynamic team. This role will offer you the chance to work on cutting-edge technology and machinery, offering a challenging and rewarding environment where your skills will be put to the test.

Responsibilities

As a Permanent Maintenance Technician, your primary responsibilities will include

• Conducting regular inspections of machinery and equipment to identify potential issues and prevent breakdowns.
• Performing preventive maintenance tasks on a variety of equipment, ensuring they are always in optimal working condition.
• Responding to emergency breakdowns and troubleshooting issues to minimize downtime.
• Collaborating with the engineering team to understand machinery operation and maintenance requirements.
• Documenting all maintenance work for record-keeping and future reference.
• Ensuring all safety protocols and procedures are adhered to during maintenance work.
• Assisting in the installation of new equipment and machinery.
• Participating in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment efficiency and reliability.
• Keeping up-to-date with the latest industry trends, technologies, and maintenance techniques.
  
  

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need

• A minimum of 5+ years of experience as a Maintenance Technician in the Engineering industry or a similar role.
• A strong understanding of preventive maintenance techniques and practices.
• Proficiency in using a variety of hand and power tools.
• Experience in troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
• Ability to work well under pressure and handle emergency situations effectively.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• A degree or diploma in a relevant field is preferred.
• Certifications in relevant areas would be an added advantage.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, if required.
