Job summary

Centor Rx in Millersburg, OH is seeking a Maintenance Technician to troubleshoot and repair production equipment and plant systems, including hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and to perform preventive maintenance on molding machinery.

This role offers a sign-on bonus of $3,000, a $32.10 per hour base pay plus $2 shift differential for off hours, and opportunities to contribute to continuous improvement and 5S in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair production equipment and plant systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance on hydraulic/pneumatic systems and molding machinery.
• Operate and start/restart plastic injection molding machinery and support equipment.
• Visually inspect machines for wear and safety hazards; perform cleaning and lubrication.
• Communicate with coworkers on safety, quality, maintenance, and improvements.
• Follow work instructions and train others on those instructions.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and 5S in the work area.
• Lift up to 40 lbs independently (up to 80 lbs with team lift).

Shift Diff: $2.00/hr (for off shift)

Purpose

Under the direction of the Maintenance Manager and Maintenance Expeditor, the Maintenance Technician is responsible for troubleshooting and repair of primary and auxiliary production equipment, as well as various plant system. Perform machinery and system repairs using hydraulic blueprints as well as completing equipment PMs.

• Performs all tasks necessary to operate equipment according to procedure.
• Perform pneumatic/hydraulic system maintenance in support of custom automated assembly and robotic systems.
• Perform start/restart of plastic injection molding machinery (molding machines, support equipment).
• Visually inspect machines and support equipment for worn parts or safety hazards.
• Perform cleaning & lubrication of equipment as needed or directed.
• Actively communicates with coworkers - key items within the plant environment on safety, quality, maintenance, production and continuous improvement.
• Follows work instructions as needed and may be asked to write, revise and train others to those instructions.
• Provide input for modifications/new designs for continuous improvement.
• Performs root cause analysis when problems arise to determine if actions can be taken immediately or appropriate personnel need to be called.
• Maintains 5S environment in work area.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds independently, or up to 80 pounds in team-lift scenario.
• Adheres to plant and corporate safety policies.
• May assist in other areas or perform other duties as required.

Qualifications

• Possesses well-developed communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to operate hand tools, power tools and diagnostic equipment.
• Ability to troubleshoot hydraulic & pneumatic systems with the aid of blueprints, drawings & schematics.
• Intermediate computer skills including Microsoft Outlook.

• SAP Experience preferred but not required.
