Primary Responsibilities:

1. Maintain lighting system bulbs and ballasts
2. Perform minor electrical troubleshooting and repairs
3. Troubleshoot and repair motors and pumps
4. Assist the operations team in the maintenance and repair of building and equipment
5. Perform general interior maintenance – HVAC/R equipment, auto/overhead doors, food equipment, and other tasks as assigned by managers
6. Conduct rooftop, refrigeration, auto/overhead doors, and food equipment preventive maintenance (PMs)
7. Handle plumbing repairs
8. Participate in on-call and after-hours calls as needed
9. Follow all safety procedures, maintain good housekeeping, and ensure safety of work areas. Recognize hazards and propose elimination methods
10. Ensure compliance with all relevant ordinances, codes, and laws
11. Adhere to policies for the safe storage, usage, and disposal of hazardous materials
12. Engage in ongoing technical, safety, and operational training programs
13. Maintain a clean and safe work environment
14. Document work performance and procurement activities as directed
15. Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by managers
16. Support various conveyors and sortation systems
17. Troubleshoot and maintain equipment such as scanners, printers, scales, networks, servers, and UPS systems
18. Identify, maintain, and troubleshoot PLCs and their components
19. Assist Mobile Engineers

Qualifications:

1. Ability to identify and maintain food service equipment
2. Ability to maintain and troubleshoot control network components
3. Knowledge of motor controls including starters, VFDs, DC drives, and electrical components
4. Hands-on electrical experience and troubleshooting skills for systems up to 480V 3-phase, 110VAC, and 24VDC
5. Strong reasoning, analytical, and problem-solving skills
6. Ability to interpret mechanical and electrical drawings
7. Experience with SCADA systems and KPIs
8. Ability to train others with lesser skills
9. Access to all facility areas
10. Understanding of policies and procedures
11. Valid state driver’s license
12. Physical ability to lift at least 80 lbs., use ladders up to 30 ft, and possess mechanical and electrical aptitude
13. Willingness to perform climbing, bending, kneeling, lifting, and driving tasks frequently
14. Excellent communication skills in English, both oral and written
15. High school diploma or GED
16. Ability to comply with company policies and procedures
17. Self-motivated and capable of working independently or in a team
18. Successful completion of background, drug/alcohol, and MVR screening

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Completion of technical training and at least one year of relevant experience in building repair, plumbing, and electrical work
2. Knowledge or experience with system controls or programming
3. EPA Certification (Type 1, 2, or Universal)
4. Ability to troubleshoot UPS components
5. Experience with advanced automation control systems
6. UST Class B Certification
