Primary Responsibilities:
- Maintain lighting system bulbs and ballasts
- Perform minor electrical troubleshooting and repairs
- Troubleshoot and repair motors and pumps
- Assist the operations team in the maintenance and repair of building and equipment
- Perform general interior maintenance – HVAC/R equipment, auto/overhead doors, food equipment, and other tasks as assigned by managers
- Conduct rooftop, refrigeration, auto/overhead doors, and food equipment preventive maintenance (PMs)
- Handle plumbing repairs
- Participate in on-call and after-hours calls as needed
- Follow all safety procedures, maintain good housekeeping, and ensure safety of work areas. Recognize hazards and propose elimination methods
- Ensure compliance with all relevant ordinances, codes, and laws
- Adhere to policies for the safe storage, usage, and disposal of hazardous materials
- Engage in ongoing technical, safety, and operational training programs
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Document work performance and procurement activities as directed
- Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by managers
- Support various conveyors and sortation systems
- Troubleshoot and maintain equipment such as scanners, printers, scales, networks, servers, and UPS systems
- Identify, maintain, and troubleshoot PLCs and their components
- Assist Mobile Engineers
Qualifications:
- Ability to identify and maintain food service equipment
- Ability to maintain and troubleshoot control network components
- Knowledge of motor controls including starters, VFDs, DC drives, and electrical components
- Hands-on electrical experience and troubleshooting skills for systems up to 480V 3-phase, 110VAC, and 24VDC
- Strong reasoning, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to interpret mechanical and electrical drawings
- Experience with SCADA systems and KPIs
- Ability to train others with lesser skills
- Access to all facility areas
- Understanding of policies and procedures
- Valid state driver’s license
- Physical ability to lift at least 80 lbs., use ladders up to 30 ft, and possess mechanical and electrical aptitude
- Willingness to perform climbing, bending, kneeling, lifting, and driving tasks frequently
- Excellent communication skills in English, both oral and written
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to comply with company policies and procedures
- Self-motivated and capable of working independently or in a team
- Successful completion of background, drug/alcohol, and MVR screening
Preferred Qualifications:
- Completion of technical training and at least one year of relevant experience in building repair, plumbing, and electrical work
- Knowledge or experience with system controls or programming
- EPA Certification (Type 1, 2, or Universal)
- Ability to troubleshoot UPS components
- Experience with advanced automation control systems
- UST Class B Certification
