Job summary

Aerotek is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician for a 7pm-7am night shift in Mentor, Ohio, to perform mechanical and electrical maintenance on plastic production line equipment. The role includes troubleshooting extrusion lines, winders, ovens, and electrical systems, with hands-on work in a fast-paced facility.

You will read schematics, service PLCs (AB/Siemens) and VFDs, and perform preventive as well as reactive maintenance.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience with a 65/25 mechanical to electrical skillset.
• Proficiency in mechanical troubleshooting, including valves, bearings, chains, conveyors, couplers, extruders, winders, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
• Expertise in electrical troubleshooting, including 3 phase 480v systems, 120v control wiring, AC-DC power systems, and motor repairs.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and blueprints.
• Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

• Troubleshoot electrical systems including 3 phase 480v systems, 120v control wiring, AC-DC power systems, and motor repairs up to 300 horsepower.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics and blueprints.
• Repair industrial ovens, both electrical and gas powered.
• Utilize Oracle work order system for maintenance tasks.
• Engage in reactive maintenance when machines break down.
• Conduct preventative maintenance.
• Upgrade electrical cabinets and perform lockout/tagout procedures on electrical systems.
• Work with PLCs (AB and Siemens) and VFDs (Variable Frequency Drives).

Work Environment

Join a fast-paced plastic extrusion production environment characterized by a mixture of older and newer equipment. The setting is dusty and loud due to constant machinery operation, with reactive maintenance being more frequent than preventative. The facility features 10 extrusion lines and both manual and servo computer-powered winders.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Mentor, Ohio.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $56160.00 - $72800.00/yr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
