Job description

Job Description:

• Maintains safe, efficient, and proper operation of a variety of Fulfillment Center equipment and systems.
• Locates and diagnoses complex equipment failures, replaces defective components, and performs troubleshooting using a variety of hand, power, and test equipment, detailed drawings, diagrams, sketches, and specifications to ensure timely corrective action.
• Completes and maintains appropriate maintenance, inventory, and repair logs.
• Estimates costs, prepares requisitions, and contacts vendors to order parts and services.
• Recommends and implements improvements to equipment, operations, and procedures.
• Leads and guides other maintenance associates in safety procedures, installations, maintenance, and repairs of equipment and systems.
• Troubleshoots PLC and Profibus control systems and InControl Ware system.
• Installs, maintains, and repairs building and electrical systems, including 230/460-volt three-phase systems.
• Maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, including those on lift trucks.
• Installs, maintains, and repairs conveyor systems.
• Performs welding duties, including layout, fabrication, cutting, and welding of various structural and light metals.
• Performs preventative maintenance on all material handling equipment.
• Performs general construction, installation, maintenance, and repairs such as carpentry, painting, plumbing, flooring, and roof repairs.
• Maintains interior and exterior concrete and asphalt repairs, including snow and ice removal as needed.
• Maintains and repairs dock equipment, including lights, doors, and levelers.
• Performs safety inspections and records maintenance activities.
• Assists in dismantling machines or equipment, replacing defective parts and motors, and adjusting feed mechanisms.
• Performs battery changes on power equipment.
• Clears clogged drains and replaces plumbing fixtures.
• Requisitions materials, tools, and supplies as needed.
• Performs other special projects or duties as assigned.
