Job summary

Nestlé S.A. in Mechanicsburg, PA is seeking a Maintenance Technician (Electro-Mechanic) to manage preventative and predictive maintenance for our manufacturing equipment.

You’ll handle electrical, mechanical, and automation challenges on second or third shift, expanding your career in a world-class food production environment. Responsibilities include assisting daily plant maintenance, troubleshooting multiple systems, operating shop equipment, and following electrical diagrams during repairs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• 1+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing or technical environment OR 2-year associates/technical degree completed.

Responsibilities

• Assist in daily maintenance operations of the plant in a proper, timely and safe manner.
• Troubleshoot and repair plant systems including mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and instrumentation.
• Operate, maintain, and install all shop equipment.
• Repair pneumatics, gear reducers, belt and screw conveyors, chain elevators, and packaging equipment.
• Use test equipment such as multimeters, megohmmeters, and process simulators.
• Troubleshoot and perform preventative maintenance and repairs on general plant electrical equipment such as starters, PLCs, start/stop stations, motors.
• Demonstrate knowledge of electrical diagrams and circuits during troubleshooting.

Position Summary

As a Maintenance Technician (Electro-Mechanic), your role is to manage the preventative and predictive maintenance to improve the functionality and safe working order of our manufacturing equipment and machinery. You will handle projects that span the electrical, mechanical, and automation maintenance challenges. This position will be scheduled for an off shift (2nd or 3rd shift). • Assist in daily maintenance operations of the plant as scheduled in a proper, timely, and safe manner
• Troubleshoot and repair plant systems including mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and instrumentation
• Ability to operate, maintain, and install all shop equipment
• Repair pneumatics, gear reducers, belt and screw conveyors, chain elevators, and packaging equipment
• Use test equipment such as multimeters, megohmmeters, and process simulators
• Troubleshoot and perform preventative maintenance and repairs on general plant electrical equipment such as starters, PLCs, start/stop stations, motors.
• Demonstrate good working knowledge of electrical diagrams and/or circuits and utilize during troubleshooting

Must be able to work nights and weekends.

Requirements

• High School Diploma of GED equivalent.
• 1+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing, technical, warehouse, industrial, military, or related environment OR 2-year associates/technical degree completed.

The approximate hourly pay for this position is $27.28 - $41.36 per hour.

The pay progression plan follows:

Maintenance Technician D $27.28

Maintenance Technician C $30.81

Maintenance Technician B $35.53

Maintenance Technician A $41.36.

Pay: $24.93 per hour

The pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills and abilities as well as geographic location. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at top of range.
