This position will be responsible for providing general maintenance labor for the repair and upkeep of our McKinney facility and as well as coordinating work with relevant vendors.
Spang Engineered Solutions designs and manufactures custom inductive components for an array of industries including renewable energy, solar, medical, aerospace, automotive, and military. Our manufacturing locations include Pittsburgh, PA, Phoenix, AZ, McKinney, TX, in the U.S.A., and Xiamen, China.
This role is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly facility and grounds by performing general cleaning, maintenance, and repair tasks. Key responsibilities include completing minor repairs to electrical, pneumatic, plumbing, and HVAC systems and setting up, maintaining, and repairing equipment. The position will also perform preventative maintenance and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues on production equipment, including ovens and presses.
Additional duties include moving furniture, receiving equipment deliveries, fabricating, assembling, and reorganizing workstations as needed. This individual will serve as the primary point of contact for the landlord and will coordinate third-party services, including professional cleaning and lawn care. The role is also responsible for scrap recycling, hazardous waste stream activities, safety inspections, and coordinating ongoing and annual permits and inspections.
Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, along with 5 years of maintenance experience in a production environment. Candidates must have proficiency in using hand tools and power tools, the ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints, and the ability to lift 75 pounds. A valid driver’s license is required.
