Summary
The Maintenance Technician plays a vital hands-on role in delivering responsive and professional maintenance support, with a primary focus on the Sierra Vista community in Rosharon, TX. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining rental homes to the highest standard while collaborating closely with the local property management team to serve the community with excellence.
This position is more than just technical—it also requires a commitment to community engagement. You will serve as a visible presence in the neighborhood, helping residents feel supported, addressing concerns with urgency and care, and helping create a well-maintained, safe, and welcoming environment.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities

- Provide exceptional customer service to residents by responding promptly and professionally to service requests.
- Partner with on-site property management staff to coordinate maintenance needs, prioritize urgent issues, and uphold high service standards.
- Engage with residents in a respectful and service-oriented manner to help maintain a strong sense of community.
- Adhere to company policies and all local/state/federal regulations (e.g., ADA, Fair Housing, OSHA, lead-based paint).
- Monitor property conditions and proactively address safety concerns or maintenance needs.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and report status updates to the property management team.
- Remain available for occasional after-hours or emergency service requests as needed.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong commitment to community service.
- Experience working closely with on-site staff and supporting a neighborhood-based property management team.
- Proficient in cloud-based software and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
- Familiarity with Rosharon-area codes, inspections, and estimating.
- Valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation are required.
- Hands-on experience with painting, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, roofing, drywall, and general repairs.
- Must own essential hand and power tools.
- Strong ability to problem solve, self-manage, and work independently.
- Demonstrated honesty, reliability, and customer-first mindset.
Education And Experience
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- 1–2 years of experience in residential maintenance, trades, or a related field preferred.
Physical Demands

- Stand or walk for extended periods, climb stairs, and lift up to 50 lbs.
