Job summary

UW Health is seeking a proactive Maintenance Technician to manage and improve equipment for direct and indirect patient use at the University Hospital and American Family Children's Hospital in Madison, WI.

Key responsibilities include maintaining HVAC systems, emergency power systems, and medical gas supply systems. Candidates must have a high school diploma, driver’s license, and ideally 2 years of maintenance experience in healthcare. Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED Required.
  • 2 years of maintenance experience or formal training preferred.
  • Valid Driver's License Required.

  • Monitor and adjust lighting and fire alarm systems.

Job description

Work Schedule

100% FTE, evenings/nights. 40 hours Sunday through Saturday from 5:15 pm to 06:30 am. Three days on and four days off each week based on operational needs. You will work at the University Hospital and American Family Children's Hospital in Madison, WI.

Pay

Maintenance Technician

We are seeking a Maintenance Technician to:

  • Maintain heating and air conditioning equipment, emergency power systems, medical gas distribution and supply systems, food service equipment, and hospital life support systems for direct and indirect patient use.
  • Perform diagnosis and repair equipment in emergency situations, monitor and make adjustments to the building(s) environment and lighting using a computerized building automation system and monitor and make adjustments to computerized, intelligent fire alarm systems.

Qualifications
