Job summary

Axia Residential is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician for our Macon, GA community. You will perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and carpentry issues, and ensure apartments are ready for new residents.

You’ll contribute to a clean, safe, and welcoming living environment, support on-call rotations, and help maintain resident satisfaction with reliable service and strong teamwork.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of apartment maintenance experience preferred.
• EPA Type II or Universal Certification strongly preferred.
• Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, drywall, painting, and general maintenance.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
• A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds, climb ladders, and work indoors/outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Complete resident service requests promptly, professionally, and with a customer-first attitude.
• Prepare vacant apartment homes for new residents by completing quality make-readies on schedule.
• Troubleshoot and repair HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical, appliances, drywall, painting, flooring, and general carpentry issues.
• Perform preventative maintenance throughout the community.
• Maintain appearance and functionality of common areas, amenities, and grounds.
• Assist with emergency maintenance and participate in an on-call rotation.
• Work closely with the Maintenance Supervisor and Community Manager to prioritize daily work and achieve team goals.
• Follow all safety policies and OSHA guidelines.
• Deliver exceptional service while building positive relationships with residents and team members.
