Job summary

Multi-Color Corporation (MCC) is seeking a Finishing Manager to lead the Finishing Department, drive safety, quality, and productivity improvements, and champion Lean initiatives. You will oversee scheduling, labor utilization, and material efficiency while guiding a team to deliver world-class packaging solutions.

You will partner with operations and maintenance to optimize capacity, mentor staff, and uphold MCC’s commitment to excellence and customer satisfaction across our global network.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma; some college preferred.
• 5+ years in manufacturing, supply chain, or fulfillment operations.
• Lean Manufacturing experience required.
• Strong change-management and leadership skills.
• Excellent strategic thinking and multitasking abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Finishing Department with focus on safety, productivity, quality, and labor optimization.
• Foster positive, collaborative relationships among staff and cross-functional teams.
• Plan and execute short- and long-term operational improvements using Lean/VM tools.
• Ensure on-time production to meet customer demand while controlling costs.
• Monitor performance via reports and drive corrective actions as needed.
• Mentor and coach teammates; support initiatives in line with company policies.

We are currently looking for a Finishing Manager to join our team! The Finishing Manager manages overall operations in the Finishing Department. Overall responsibility for the effective and successful leadership of labor, productivity, quality, and safety improvement. Ensures safe and efficient operations, enhances operational procedures, and drives continuous improvement through use of Lean/VM tools. Drives positive culture through active and timely involvement of teammates and resources.

Responsibilities

• Highly skilled hands-on operations champion who focuses on increasing the level of customer satisfaction while improving the efficiency of manpower and materials, keeping safety as the number one priority.
• Strong leadership ability to foster and maintain a favorable-harmonious working relationship with company employees

• Monitors performance through company reports

• Ability to develop and maintain capacity planning strategies to ensure schedule attainment
• Results-oriented operations leader to lead meetings, determine performance standards and achieve company goals and objectives
• Maintains industry, professional, and technical knowledge by networking, attending industry events, and reviewing professional publications
• Trains, coaches and mentors teammates, supervisors, and other direct reports. Ensures subordinates support related initiatives for their employees in accordance with company management policies
• Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Minimum of High School Diploma, with some college education preferred
• Requires 5 plus years of progressively responsible experience, including scheduling and real time operations management
• Strong experience in Manufacturing, Supply Chain or Fulfillment
• Must have Lean Manufacturing experience
• Demonstrated change management leadership skills
• Excellent strategic thinking skills
• Solid ability to manage multiple priorities
• Strong teamwork, communication, and organization skills
• Exceptional problem resolution and analysis skills
• Attention to detail and a strong focus on safety and quality
• Prior experience with cross-functional teams
• Minimal travel as necessary

In-plant

• The physical demands require standing, using hands to finger, feel and touch; reach with arms and hands; talk and hear.
• This position requires frequent walking. Occasionally employee is required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Must be able to regularly lift or move up to 50 pounds.
• Specific vision requirements are close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
