Bakery Maintenance Tech III | 3rd Shift | Van Nuys, CA
Pay: $33.57 – $35.32/hr + performance incentives
Shift: 3rd Shift (Sat–Wed; Off Thursday & Friday)

We need a high-caliber Maintenance Technician III to serve as the mechanical backbone of our high-volume Van Nuys facility. Core Responsibilities
- Complex Repairs: Troubleshoot and repair high-speed mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, electronic, and PLC-controlled equipment.
- Preventive Maintenance: Execute PM schedules, adjustments, and component inspections to maximize uptime and operational reliability.
- Overhauls & Installations: Lead major equipment overhauls, machinery modifications, system installations, and technology upgrades.
- Diagnostics: Interpret technical schematics (P&IDs, loop drawings, single-line diagrams) to resolve process control issues.
- CMMS Tracking: Log all work orders, repairs, parts usage, and PM routines in our enterprise CMMS (SAP).
- Cross-Functional Partner: Coordinate maintenance with production and sanitation teams to minimize schedule disruptions.
- Compliance: Strictly adhere to OSHA safety standards, food safety guidelines, GMPs, and sanitation rules.
Qualifications
- Experience: High school diploma with 4+ years of industrial maintenance experience (instrumentation, controls, electronics, electrical/mechanical), or 6+ years equivalent trade experience.
- Technical Expertise: Hands-on mastery in at least 3 areas: refrigeration, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, or process controls.
- Systems & Tools: Proficient with CMMS/SAP, technical blueprints, maintenance tools, and material handling equipment.
- Preferred: PLC software/IO troubleshooting (4+ yrs), food manufacturing experience, or a technical/engineering degree.

- Preventive Maintenance & Reliability: Execute detailed PM schedules, equipment adjustments, and component inspections to ensure overall equipment effectiveness (OEE) and operational reliability across all bakery lines.
- Overhauls & Installations: Lead major equipment overhauls, machinery modifications, system installations, and technology upgrades in a fast-paced environment.
- Control Systems Diagnosis: Read and interpret complex technical schematics—including P&IDs, electrical diagrams, loop drawings, and single-line diagrams to resolve process control issues.
- CMMS Maintenance Tracking: Log all work orders, repairs, parts usage, and preventive maintenance routines in the enterprise CMMS (SAP) to maintain clear asset histories.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with production operators, sanitation teams, and leadership to coordinate maintenance activities while minimizing disruptions to baking schedules.
- Safety & Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all maintenance operations strictly adhere to OSHA safety standards, food safety guidelines, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), and facility sanitation rules.
