Job summary

Randstad USA is seeking an experienced Electrical & Mechanical Technician for our Vernon, CA facility on third shift (9:00 PM–5:00 AM). This hands-on role requires the ability to troubleshoot equipment independently in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical/vocational training or associate degree preferred.
• 3+ years of electro-mechanical maintenance experience in food manufacturing required.
• Spanish-speaking ability required.
• Strong knowledge of GMP, HACCP, and SQF, OSHA safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance on production and facility equipment.
• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Maintain motors, sensors, VFDs, conveyors, gearboxes, and automated equipment.
• Troubleshoot 3-phase electrical systems and PLC-controlled equipment.
• Use multimeters, motor testers, PLC interfaces, and other diagnostic tools.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
• Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns to minimize production downtime.
• Document maintenance activities using CMMS systems such as UpKeep, SAP, or similar platforms.
• Assist with equipment installations, upgrades, and continuous improvement projects.
• Follow GMP, HACCP, SQF, OSHA, and all food safety procedures.
• Support production and cross-functional teams to maintain equipment reliability and plant performance.

Pay offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
