Job Overview

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain industrial machinery, equipment, utilities and physical structures.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic pipefitting, welding, painting and plumbing.
• Perform basic electrical functions, including running conduit, 3‑phase motor hook‑up, and electrical connections.
• Employ other mechanical craft skills in connection with repair or maintenance of equipment.
• Read and interpret basic blueprints, sketches, instruction manuals and work orders.
• Perform basic functions within the waste/water treatment facility.
• Diagnose and repair hydraulic systems.
• Fabricate steel and sheet metal projects.
• Requisition materials as needed, in accordance with appropriate purchasing guidelines.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 4 years applicable work experience, or an equivalent combination of industrial maintenance experience and education.
