Job summary

Lehigh Valley Dairy Farms in the Lehigh Valley seeks a hands-on maintenance technician to diagnose and repair production, processing, and packaging equipment, including planned, unplanned, and emergency work. You’ll execute preventative maintenance and support reliability at the plant.

The role emphasizes fast, accurate repairs, interpreting schematics and work orders, and cross-training operators to minimize downtime.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 2-4 years hands-on experience in mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, PLC/HMI, or HVAC.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Basic computer skills; English fluency.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair production, processing, and packaging equipment — planned, unplanned, and emergency.
  • Execute preventative maintenance programs and routine reliability assessments.
  • Interpret schematics, service manuals, and work orders to drive fast, accurate repairs.
  • Support new equipment installation and cross-train operators to minimize downtime.
  • Identify process improvement opportunities and take the initiative to act on them.
  • Anticipate parts needs and manage procurement ahead of scheduled tasks.
  • Maintain complete, accurate documentation in line with SOPs and GMP standards.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

Requirements
WHAT YOU BRING:
Requirement:
  • High school diploma or GED
  • 2-4 years hands-on: mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, PLC/HMI, or HVAC

Preferred:
  • Trade or technical school certification (electrical, PLC/HMI, welding, refrigeration, or plumbing)
  • Manufacturing environment background.
