Job summary

gpac is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support operations at a highly automated dairy facility south of La Crosse, WI. This hands-on role focuses on safe, compliant operation of production, packaging, and utility systems in a 24/7 setting.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience, strong mechanical/electrical troubleshooting skills, and familiarity with PLCs, VFDs, pumps, conveyors, and pasteurizers. Shift is 6pm-6am with premiums for nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret schematics, P&IDs, and electrical drawings; uphold safety standards.

gpac is looking for a Maintenance Technician to support operations at a highly automated dairy facility south of La Crosse, WI. The company has been providing fresh, locally processed, high-quality products for 30+ years.

This is a **hands-on, multi-craft maintenance position**. The role focuses on ensuring safe, compliant, and reliable operation of production, packaging, and utility systems across a 24/7 operation. The position offers consistent hours, a strong team culture, and the chance to work with advanced automation, robotics, and pasteurization systems. It's ideal for a mechanically and electrically skilled technician who thrives in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.

The Ideal Candidate Brings

• 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience (food/beverage preferred)
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
• Proficiency with PLCs, VFDs, and automated packaging equipment
• Experience maintaining pumps, conveyors, separators, and pasteurizers
• Familiarity with instrumentation, calibration, and sanitary process systems
• Ability to read and interpret schematics, P&IDs, and electrical drawings
• Experience with ammonia refrigeration, boilers, and wastewater systems a plus
• Commitment to food safety, preventive maintenance, and continuous improvement
• Safety-conscious mindset with ability to work independently on 6pm-6am shift
