Copper Pointe Apartments in Knoxville, TN is looking for a Maintenance Technician to join Brookside Properties, Inc. This on-site, hands-on role is ideal for dependable individuals who want to grow in apartment maintenance and skilled trades.

You will perform make-ready tasks, basic repairs (painting, plumbing, light electrical, drywall), replace fixtures/appliances, assist with grounds upkeep, troubleshoot issues, and ensure a clean, safe community following safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in maintenance or related fields.
• Willingness to learn apartment maintenance skills.

Responsibilities

• Complete apartment turns and make-ready units for new residents.
• Perform basic maintenance repairs including painting, minor plumbing, light electrical, drywall repair, and general upkeep.
• Replace fixtures, hardware, appliances, and complete punch-list items.
• Assist with grounds, curb appeal, and community upkeep as needed.
• Troubleshoot basic maintenance concerns and complete work orders when needed.
• Help maintain a clean, safe, and well-maintained community.
• Follow company safety standards and property policies.

What You’ll Do

What We’re Looking For

• High school diploma or GED required
• Previous maintenance, make-ready, construction, handyman, landscaping, warehouse, or general labor experience
• Willingness to learn apartment maintenance skills
• Strong work ethic and attention to detail
• Ability to lift, bend, climb stairs, and work indoors/outdoors in various weather conditions
• Reliable transportation required
• Basic hand tools preferred but not required
