Qualifications

  • 2-year trades degree or 4 years of plant maintenance experience required.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English; bilingual is a plus.

Job description

2nd and 3rd Shifts Available! There is a $2,000 Sign-On Bonus for 3rd Shift and a $2,500 Sign-On Bonus for 2nd Shift.

Job Summary :

The Maintenance Tech performs highly diversified duties including, but not limited to:

  • Mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting
  • Repair of machines, equipment, and plant facilities including scheduled, unscheduled, or emergency repairs
  • Perform regular preventive maintenance including supporting documentation for the PMs
Key Duties and Responsibilities :
  • Conduct maintenance according to skill level and pursuant to safety policies and procedures
  • Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service
  • Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test, and make adjustments
  • Detect faulty operations and defective material, and report those unusual situations to the facility maintenance manager
  • Utilize Microsoft Office to order and schedule parts as well as jobs
  • Perform work in a safe manner and use Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) at all times
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications :
  • Completed or currently enrolled in a 2-year trades degree and/or 4 years of plant maintenance experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must be 18 years of age
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English; bilingual capabilities are a plus
  • Effective communication skills with sanitation managers, line workers, leads, supervisors, and plant managers
  • Legible record-keeping and data-entry skills
  • Highly motivated, flexible, and creative problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Welding and fabrication skills, understanding of 3-phase electrical systems, and motor controls
  • Troubleshoot AC & DC drives
Work Environment and Physical Requirements :
  • Manufacturing environment with exposure to machines, noise, and temperature variations
  • Ability to work well with others and communicate professionally
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 60 pounds regularly
  • Potential to work weekends and night hours as needed
