St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Elkton, FL is seeking a part-time Maintenance Technician (20 hours/week, Mon-Thu 9:00 AM–2:00 PM) to preserve the campus.
The role requires knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry and basic tools; you will conduct quality assessments and schedule repairs. You’ll perform set-up and tear-down for parish events, coordinate vendors, manage preventive maintenance, and support safety compliance.

Part‑Time Position – 20 Hours per Week Monday – Thursday 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM
The chief responsibility of the Maintenance Technician is to preserve the excellent condition and functionality of our Parish Campus. Our ideal candidate will have in‑depth knowledge of maintenance procedures, electric, plumbing, carpentry and basic tools and appliances. Your duties will include conducting quality assessments, scheduling repairs and developing preventative maintenance procedures. This position will require some after‑hours work for the set‑up and tear‑down for events.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of leadership, vendors, employees, and the general public.
Must have average computer skills, including aptitude with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentage.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
