Job summary

Scoular is hiring a Maintenance Technician to repair and maintain plant equipment across production, utilities and facilities. You will troubleshoot pumps, gear drives, and running conditions to keep production at peak levels.

The role requires focus on safety, documentation, and the ability to work 12-hour rotating shifts, including weekends. We value mechanical skills, problem solving, and a strong safety mindset.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required.
• 2+ years of work experience preferred.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions.
• Ability to work in loud noise environments.
• Ability to work in dusty environments.
• Ability to work in elevated areas above 4 feet and in confined spaces.
• Ability to perform physical duties including lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Adherence to PPE policies.
• Willingness to work 12-hr rotating shifts and odd hours/weekends.

Responsibilities

• Repair and upkeep of plant operational equipment including production, utilities and facilities.
• Repair gearboxes, drive couplings, belt drives, and pumps.
• Troubleshoot and repair pumps and other positive displacement pumps.
• Analyze problems and take corrective actions to maintain production and quality.
• Complete tasks and preventative maintenance with proper documentation.

Job description

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for repairs and upkeep of plant operational equipment including production, utilities and facilities. This role will also be required to follow all safety policies and perform their duty in a safe manner.

• Repair gearboxes, drive couplings, chain drives and belt drives.

Troubleshoot and repair pumps, centrifugal, piston, rotary and other positive displacement pumps.

Analyzes mechanical and operational problems on assigned equipment and plans for and takes corrective action.

Makes necessary corrections and running adjustments to maintain maximum production and quality.

Timely completion of tasks, work orders, and preventative maintenance items with appropriate documentation according to standard operating procedures, applicable standards, guidelines and policies.

About You

• 2 or more years of work experience preferred
