Job summary

Scoular in Kansas seeks a Maintenance Technician to repair and maintain plant equipment across production, utilities, and facilities, following all safety policies.

The role requires 2+ years of experience, ability to work 12-hour rotating shifts, and lifting up to 50 lbs; you will document tasks and support continuous operation.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required.
• 2 or more years of work experience preferred.
• Good communication & written skills.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions.
• Ability to work in loud noise environments.
• Ability to work in dusty environments.
• Ability to work in elevated areas above 4 feet when necessary and in confined spaces.
• Ability to perform physical duties including bending, lifting up to 50lbs, kneeling, climbing, crawling, twisting.
• Ability to adhere to PPE policies.
• Ability to work 12hr rotating shifts if required.
• Ability to work odd hours, weekends, and rotating shift schedule required.

Responsibilities

About The Role

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for repairs and upkeep of plant operational equipment including production, utilities and facilities. This role will also be required to follow all safety policies and perform their duty in a safe manner.

• Repair gearboxes, drive couplings, chain drives and belt drives.


• Troubleshoot and repair pumps, centrifugal, piston, rotary and other positive displacement pumps.


• Analyzes mechanical and operational problems on assigned equipment and plans for and takes corrective action.


• Makes necessary corrections and running adjustments to maintain maximum production and quality.


• Timely completion of tasks, work orders, and preventative maintenance items with appropriate documentation according to standard operating procedures, applicable standards, guidelines and policies.

About You

• High School Diploma/GED required


• 2 or more years of work experience preferred
