Job summary

Concord Hospitality Enterprises is hiring a Maintenance Technician to join our engineering team at our Jacksonville hotels. You will perform routine repairs and preventative maintenance to keep all equipment in good working order and respond to emergencies with a calm, professional approach.

You will analyze problems, plan corrective actions, and implement solutions using available resources. Duties include plumbing, electrical work, HVAC, and keeping tools clean and safe for the team while

Qualifications

• Experience maintaining building systems in a hotel or similar setting.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair plumbing, electrical, and related hardware.
• Knowledge of safety procedures and job safety analysis guidelines.
• Comfort working independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication and guest-service orientation.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine repairs and preventative maintenance on hotel equipment.
• Analyze problems, plan corrective actions, and implement solutions with available resources.
• Plunge toilets, unclog drains, repair plumbing and electrical items including lamps and A/C.
• Clean, lubricate, protect, and maintain tools and equipment.
• Monitor systems and respond to emergencies to protect guests and property.
• Assist Chief Engineer on building and grounds maintenance and uphold safety standards.

Job description

• As a maintenance tech on our engineering team you are responsible for keeping all equipment in good working order with routine repairs and preventative maintenance checks.
• Operate as an independent mechanic by analyzing problems, identifying courses of action, and implementing solutions with available resources and to a high degree of quality.
• Plunging toilets, unclogging drains, repairing all types of hardware, plumbing, and electrical equipment including lamps, air conditioners and cosmetic items.
• Clean, lubricate, protect, and otherwise maintain all tools and equipment in the hotel.
• Monitor systems as necessary, to be fully informed of the system operation and to handle emergencies involving the systems.
• Have a working knowledge of fire sprinkler and emergency power systems.
• Observe and analyze energy and utilities usage in the hotel and on the grounds.
• Be available for any emergencies and act in an engineering capacity to protect our guests and associates, and preserve the building and its systems during the emergency.
• You will assist others on the team including the Chief Engineer on building and grounds maintenance
• Provide a safe environment for our guests and the hotel staff by meeting all safety standards
• Provide professional courteous service to our guests and be accommodating to various requests
• Be a team player and assist in other departments when help is needed
• Must be knowledgeable of all emergency procedures and aware of all Job Safety Analysis guides
