Job summary

General Thermodynamics is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our Iron Ridge, WI fabrication and kitting facility. You will troubleshoot and fix mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems, and support laser cutting equipment, CMM machines, and welding systems.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in industrial maintenance, strong mechanical diagnostic skills, and thrive in a fast-paced environment where reliability matters.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of industrial maintenance experience (fabrication experience is a strong plus).
• Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills — you know how to get equipment back online fast.
• Comfort working in a fast-paced manufacturing setting where reliability matters.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Maintain and support laser machines, welding systems, and CMM inspection equipment.
• Execute preventive maintenance with urgency and accuracy to prevent unplanned downtime.
• Ensure work is performed safely and in full compliance with OSHA and LOTO requirements.

About the Role

You’ll work directly with laser cutting equipment, CMM machines, welding systems, and facility infrastructure. This is a high-impact role where your expertise directly reduces downtime and improves production flow.
