The Role

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for daily maintenance operations at the apartment community, reporting to the Community Manager.

What You Will Do

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance in accordance with company policies, laws, and regulations
• Inspect common areas for appearance, safety, and maintenance
• Complete work orders promptly and communicate progress
• Maintain HVAC, electrical, plumbing, structural, and grounds
• Provide courteous service to residents, staff, and vendors
• Complete administrative tasks accurately and timely
• Perform other duties as assigned; may include on-call responsibilities

What You Will Need

Skills and Competencies

• Strong communication skills
• Hands-on maintenance experience, preferably in apartments
• Self-motivated with good negotiation skills
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize
• Attention to detail
• Ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment
• Logical troubleshooting skills
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds

Education and Experience

• Technical training or equivalent experience in HVAC
• HVAC certification preferred; EPA certification required or ability to obtain
• Own tools required
• Experience in residential maintenance beneficial
• Knowledge of OSHA standards
• Ability to work in all weather conditions
