Rapak LLC in Indianapolis, IN is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to support production equipment and facility systems. You will install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain machinery to ensure continuous operations. This role requires reading equipment manuals, performing preventive maintenance, and handling mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems.

Qualifications

Main Duties & Responsibilities

Under the general direction of the Maintenance Supervisor, thisposition is responsible for ensuring production and facility equipment is alwaysworking. He/she will install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain all equipmentaccording to safety. He/she will follow preventative maintenance schedulesalong with existing equipment protocol including building maintenance.

Essential Functions & Key Responsibilities

• General knowledge required in mechanics (gears, bearings, pulleys,belts, etc.), pneumatics and electric drives to effectively perform variousduties to install and maintain production machines and the plant facility’sequipment.
• Conducts machine setup, troubleshooting, repairs, and preventativemaintenance service.

• Provides emergency and unscheduled repairs of production equipmentduring production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of productionequipment during machine service.
• Prepares and sets up machinery for scheduled production runs.
• Performs mechanic skills including but not limited to, mechanical,electrical, and pneumatic troubleshooting and repair of packaging andproduction machines.
• Reads and interprets equipment manuals and work orders to performrequired maintenance and service.
• Diagnose problems, replace, or repair parts, test and adjust.
• Will use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, andmaterial handling equipment in performing duties.
• Ability to comply with all safety regulations and maintains aclean and orderly work area.
• Machine set-up experience required.
• All other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Previous industrial or manufacturing experience preferred.
• Ability to read and use measuring instruments, including rulers,micrometers (U.S. and metric), and digital measuring equipment preferred.
• Experience operating and troubleshooting production machinery in amanufacturing environment preferred.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment whilemeeting production schedules and performance expectations.
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds regularly.
• Basic computer skills and experience using computerized systems.
• Strong problem-solving and mechanical aptitude.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential; excellentattendance is expected.
• Must be willing and able to work overtime as needed, includingextended shifts and weekends.

Education and Experience:

• High schooldiploma or GED required.
• One or moreyears of industrial, manufacturing, machine operation, or maintenanceexperience preferred.
• Equivalentcombinations of education, training, and experience may be considered.
