Gateway on Cullen Student Living Apartments is seeking a Maintenance Technician to ensure upkeep of the building and grounds through routine procedures and to assist with resident transportation on scheduled trips and events.

Requirements include 2–3 years in property maintenance, ability to install appliances and perform minor electrical, plumbing and carpentry work; HVAC/EPA certification preferred; own tools; willingness to overtime/on call; Turn season availability.

Qualifications

• Ability to install appliances, minor electrical, plumbing, and carpentry work.
• HVAC / EPA certification preferred.
• Must have own tools and be willing to work overtime/on call as needed.
• Good organizational skills and time management.

• Knowledgeable of all property emergency and safety plans and procedures; Responds promptly to emergencies.
• Reports mechanical needs and assists in coordinating vehicle maintenance and repair service.
• Assist with resident daily activity as assigned by supervisor.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Gateway on Cullen Student Living Apartments is currently seeking a Maintenance Technician to ensure the maintenance and upkeep of the building and grounds through routine procedures and special work orders and to transport resident on regularly scheduled trips and special events.

Responsibilities

• Responds to and completes resident work orders, insuring quality of service to maximum resident satisfaction.
• Performs work needed to ready apartments for move-in as assigned.
• Performs general maintenance projects as assigned, including installations and repairs involving plumbing and electrical equipment, carpentry work, painting, equipment repair, snow removal and outside landscaping maintenance.
• Knowledgeable of all property emergency, safety/disaster plans and procedures.
• Responds promptly to emergencies.
• Responds immediately and appropriately to all accidents and emergencies.
• Reports mechanical needs and repairs and assist in coordination of necessary vehicle maintenance and repair service such as oil changes and tire rotations.
• Assist with resident daily activity as assigned by supervisor.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• 2-3 years of experience in property maintenance
• Ability to install appliances, minor electrical to include garbage disposal installation, ceiling fans, minor HVAC repairs, plumbing, make ready.
• HVAC / EPA certification preferred
• Must have own tools and be willing to work overtime/on call as needed.
• Good organizational skills and time management a must.
• Turn Season Availability Requirement: Selected candidate will be required to work daily for approximately 20–30 consecutive days during the student housing Turn season, including weekends and extended hours as needed.
