Job summary

Indus Management Group in Houston seeks a Maintenance Technician to support the Property Manager with on-site HVAC maintenance, repairs, and inventory control. You may lead the maintenance team to ensure timely, high-quality ticket completion.

Requirements include an associate degree in HVAC, EPA 608 Universal Certification, and at least two years of residential HVAC experience. A valid driver's license and English/Spanish fluency are preferred for effective site operations.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Install, inspect, and troubleshoot heating, cooling, and ventilation systems.
• Perform preventative HVAC maintenance to extend system life.
• Troubleshoot system issues and repair damages promptly.
• Supervise electrical issues at the property when needed.
• Maintain inventory of HVAC equipment and resources.
• Work on-call as needed and support maintenance team.

Job Summary

The Maintenance Technician supports the Property Manager in the efficient management of all maintenance-related work on the property. They also repair and monitor all AC-related issues and ensure inventory is stocked and tracked. At leadership discretion, at times, they may lead the maintenance team by ensuring tickets are completed in a timely manner with the highest quality.

Minimum Qualifications

Education: An associate's degree from an HVAC program preferred

Experience: Two (2) years of HVAC experience in the multi-family/residential industry required

License/Certification: Valid state driver’s license, EPA 608 Universal Certification. Preferably HVAC Type (1) License.

Principal Responsibilities

• Must be willing to work on call as needed
• Installs new heating, cooling, and ventilation systems
• Inspects HVAC systems for effectiveness and safety
• Performs preventative maintenance on HVAC systems to increase longevity
• Conducts performance tests with specialized tools
• Troubleshoot HVAC system issues and repair damages
• Supervises electrical issues at the property
• Maintains inventory of all equipment and HVAC resources
• Works within the safety guidelines outlined by the Maintenance Manager /or the Company
• Supports, trains, and develops maintenance employees and teams for future growth
• Other duties as assigned
