Job summary

Riverstone Communities is seeking a Level 2 Maintenance Technician at Shady Oak Village Mobile Home Park in Houston, TX. The role involves plumbing, electrical tasks, and groundskeeping to maintain curb appeal and resident safety.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of general labor experience in property maintenance.
• 1–2 years of basic residential plumbing.
• Physically capable of lifting up to 50 pounds and active.
• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Able to drive to multiple property locations with a valid license.
• Willing to learn technology.

Responsibilities

• Perform plumbing repairs such as faucets and toilets and diagnose leaks.
• Handle electrical tasks like fixtures, GFCIs, outlets.
• Oversee curb appeal and groundskeeping including lawn care.
• Complete cleanouts of homes and finish work orders efficiently.
• Adhere to safety laws and conduct inventory checks.
• Take online training and participate in training programs.
• Complete other duties as qualified.

We are currently seeking a qualified Level 2 Maintenance Technician for our Shady Oak Village Mobile Home Park located at (5711 Yale Street Houston, TX 77076.)

Level 2 Maintenance TechnicianJob Duties:

• Plumbing work such as repairing or replacing faucets and toilets, operating a sewer cleanout auger, diagnosing and repairing a simple water leak
• Electrical work such as light fixtures, GFCI’s, understanding lightbulb wattage, breakers and fuses, replacing outlets
• Oversee the curb appeal of the community and make sure it is up to Riverstone Communities’ standards which includes:
• Picking up trash around the community
• Groundskeeping including lawn mowing, planting flowers, weeding/weed eating, etc
• Complete clean outs of homes
• Finish work orders in an efficient and timely mannerComplete day to day duties with minimal supervision
• Adhere to all safety laws and regulations
• Conduct regular inventory checks on equipment and supplies
• Take training classes online/virtually via a computer or tablet
• Other duties as qualified and trained to do so

Level 2 Maintenance TechnicianRequirements:

• 2-3 years of experience in general labor including groundskeeping, landscaping, property management maintenance
• 1-2 years of experience in basic residential plumbing
• Ability to be very active - walking, bending, standing, and lifting up to 50 pounds
• Need to be comfortable with working outside in all weather conditions
• Willingness to use technology/learn technology in a basic capacity
• Ability to legally operate a motor vehicle (drive to different locations on the property) with a valid driver’s license

**Specific maintenance knowledge/skills will be tested for accuracy.
