A leading company in facilities management is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician / Groundskeeper. This role involves maintaining the physical integrity of the facility and grounds while performing various maintenance tasks. Ideal candidates should have a strong attention to detail, foundational knowledge of mechanical systems, and proven experience in similar roles.
The Facilities Maintenance Technician / Groundskeeper is responsible for maintaining the physical integrity and aesthetic standards of the facility and surrounding grounds. This role ensures that all buildings, outdoor areas, and equipment remain clean, safe, operational, and presentable at all times. You’ll be the quiet force behind the scenes, keeping the day running smooth and the grounds looking sharp.
Perform routine maintenance on buildings, equipment, and grounds
Inspect and repair basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and structural systems as needed
Handle seasonal groundskeeping tasks: mowing, trimming, snow removal, leaf clearing, etc.
Ensure all outdoor spaces are clean, orderly, and hazard-free
Conduct regular inspections of the property to identify potential hazards or maintenance needs
Coordinate with vendors or contractors for specialized repairs when necessary
Maintain a schedule of preventative maintenance tasks
Ensure tools and equipment are properly stored and maintained
Respond promptly to maintenance requests or emergencies
Assist with setup and teardown of events or facility activities as needed
High school diploma or equivalent required
Proven experience in facility maintenance, repair work, or groundskeeping
Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems
Ability to operate landscaping equipment and hand tools safely
Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
Must be able to lift 50+ lbs, work outdoors in various weather, and be on feet for extended periods
Valid driver's license preferred
HVAC certification or trade-specific experience
Knowledge of irrigation systems or pesticide applications
Familiarity with OSHA regulations and workplace safety standards
