Job summary

Intek Plastics is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support 2nd shift manufacturing operations by maintaining, troubleshooting, and improving equipment and facility systems. You will work with a collaborative team to keep the plant running smoothly and safely.

Responsibilities include repairing and preventative maintenance on equipment and forklifts, supporting facility systems, and performing fabrication tasks. Proficiency with blueprints, ERP, and QMS is valuable.

Qualifications

• 1–2 year technical degree in Electrical, Electromechanical, Machine Shop, Hydraulics, Water Treatment Systems, or Power Transmission or
• 5+ years of equivalent maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
• Strong mechanical and plumbing knowledge
• Ability to read electrical and mechanical blueprints and schematics
• Good organizational and basic math skills
• Comfortable using computers and maintenance tracking systems
• Ability to safely operate a variety of hand and power tools
• Reliable, regular attendance and a strong safety mindset

Responsibilities

• Troubleshooting, repairing, and performing preventative maintenance on manufacturing equipment, forklifts, pallet trucks, and related machinery
• Supporting facility systems, including water tanks, chillers, compressors, oil temperature controllers, filters, and electrical systems in compliance with national codes
• Performing fabrication and welding work (machinery components, gates, guards, etc.)
• Operating shop equipment, hand tools, and power tools safely and effectively
• Assisting with general facility upkeep, such as replacing bulbs/ballasts, moving furniture, cleaning equipment, and maintaining exterior areas
• Tracking daily activities, parts usage, and maintenance records in our ERP system
• Partnering with production teams to minimize downtime and improve equipment reliability
• Supporting and following our Quality Management System (QMS) standards

What You’ll Do
